๐ Strawberry Granny Square Blanket Pattern
๐งถ Materials
Worsted weight yarn:
Cream/white (main color)
Red (strawberries)
Green (leaves)
5.0 mm (H) crochet hook
Yarn needle
Scissors
๐ฅ Strawberry Square (Make multiple)
Step 1: Start Center (Strawberry base)
With red yarn:
Magic ring
Round 1: Ch 2, 10 dc into ring. Sl st to join.
Round 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in each stitch around (20 dc). Join.
๐ Shape the Strawberry
Round 3:
Dc 3, dc2tog repeat around to slightly taper shape
Fasten off red
๐ฟ Add Leaves
Join green yarn at top of strawberry:
Ch 3, sl st in same stitch
Repeat 3–5 times to form small leaf bumps
Fasten off
⬜ Turn Into Granny Square
Join white yarn anywhere around strawberry:
Round 1:
Ch 3 (counts as dc)
Work dc evenly around strawberry
Add (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in 4 corners to square it
Join
Round 2+:
Continue standard granny square:
3 dc clusters along sides
(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in corners
Make 3–5 rounds total depending on size

Make multiple squares (e.g., 20–30 depending on blanket size)
Join using:
Slip stitch join, OR
Whip stitch, OR
Join-as-you-go method
๐ง Border (Optional)
With white yarn:
Round 1: Single crochet all around
Round 2: (Sc, ch 2, skip 1) repeat for a lacy edge
✨ Tips
You can embroider tiny white “seeds” on strawberries using white yarn
For a puffier strawberry, use bobble stitches instead of dc
Keep tension loose so the blanket stays soft
